PRP Heal is a targeted PRP programme for patients undergoing a hair transplant. The treatment supports the healing process, increases the survival of transplanted follicles and contributes to a faster and more uniform final result.
Forløbet
You begin by having a blood sample taken.
The blood sample is then centrifuged for about five minutes in order to separate the blood into its different components; red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, growth elements, proteins, plasma and so on.
The part of the blood sample that contains the growth elements is isolated from the rest of the blood sample.
The platelets, the white blood cells and the growth elements that have just been extracted from the centrifuged blood sample are drawn up into a syringe via a cannula. It is this concentrate that is called PRP (platelet-rich plasma).
The PRP concentrate is injected into the scalp around the hair roots, where the growth elements are slowly released to the hair roots.
The whole procedure typically takes around 30 minutes, from the time you arrive until you leave our clinic. You will easily be able to return to work straight afterwards.
The growth factors in PRP create optimal conditions for the transplanted hair follicles and increase the likelihood of a dense and uniform final result.
PRP accelerates the body's natural healing process, reduces inflammation and swelling in the treated area and shortens the recovery period.
The treatment also strengthens the existing hair in and around the transplant area, contributing to a more natural transition and more even hair growth.
